It's All About the Land for Sale

What do you do when a trailer park is sitting on prime land? Give them a ton of money to move…

Doesn’t seem to matter to some people how much money you give them for their land/home.  Even if they’d rather live somewhere else, they see it being a matter of principals and they feel the “big corporate man” is getting his way.  Are they right to think this and it’s nothing short of “unacceptable”?

These lots being bought were purchased for as little as $35,000 and they’re getting ~$1million-$1.5million each.

I’m referring to the article Florida trailer park residents approve sale of land for for $510 million involving a 488 mobile home community on 43 acres next to some high rise condos on the water.  When they voted whether or not to let Ocean Land Investments of Boca Raton buy them outof their homes to turn it into 900 condo units, a luxury hotel and marina, 17% voted no.

So the question is for those 17%, is this their dream home they don’t want to give up, are they holding out for more money, or is it their principals of not wanting to be forced to sell in our great country of liberty and freedom?

I’m amazed at the amount of land being bought up all over the country right now.  A few years ago I would have thought it would slow down, but  it’s still moving along.  It’s not even in one area.  I see it just about everywhere in the country.

There is always one or two people in any group that want to make a fuss. Sometimes for no other reason than making a fuss.
