Let’s get back to a high-level, real estate advertising point of view for this post. I received an email this week from a newspaper email marketing campaign. It was targeting the real estate industry for classified ads. You could get 3 lines in the newspaper for $52.25 which will run for 2 days. (As I’m typing this I keep going back to that email I received to make sure the price is right for 3 small lines of black text and it’s not a typo that should be $5.22.) You start doing some math on that cost and if you have 5-6 listings with only 1 line each (if that’s even possible) and you’re paying over $100 to advertise in one newspaper with barely any information to tell prospective buyers that lasts only 2 days. Don’t forget you’ve got to squeeze in your name, phone number, and website address!
What truly amazes me is not really even what you get (or don’t get) advertising in newspapers, but what you do get in comparison when you advertise online. Just compare:

Sure there are many more great features about advertising on LandsofAmerica.com or even just advertising online in general that we won’t even go into here. The whole point is this: Why would anyone selling real estate not take advantage of every drop of exposure they can get online if it reaches massive amounts of people and is extremely cost effective compared to anything else? For any Land Broker - advertising online is a WIN-WIN!
